The Lazarus Society
The founding Members of the Lazarus Society came together to form an open group dedicated to fostering, promoting and maintaining constructive, positive and lasting friendships. The primary goal is to foster a spirit of renewal and rebirth of things past , present and future.
Lazarus, was a beggar who lay outside the gate of a rich man, who dressed in fine clothing and dined sumptuously every day, and gave nothing to Lazarus. Lazarus, a follower of Jesus became ill. His sisters called for Jesus to help, however, he arrived to late , and Lazarus died. Four days after his death, Lazarus was brought back from the grave to the joy of his sisters and friends.
This story illustrates in powerful metaphor, that nothing is truly dead, if we care enough about it. The Lazarus Society was established to uphold this promise and make every attempt to keep our friendship , camaraderie and society from the depths of the grave.

“Strange is our situation here upon earth. Each of us comes for a short visit, not knowing why, yet sometimes seeming to a divine purpose. From the standpoint of daily life, however, there is one thing we do know: That we are here for the sake of others… with whose fate we are connected by a bond of sympathy. Many times a day, I realize how much my outer and inner life is built upon the labors of people, both living and dead, and how earnestly I must exert myself in order to give in return as much as I have received.” Albert Einstein
“True friends are the ones who never leave your heart, even if they leave your life for awhile. Even after years apart, you pick up with them right where you left off, and even if they die they’re never dead in your heart.” Anonymous
